This one really improved on the last, the combat feels a lot nicer, there's not as much platforming, and when there is it's not as bad. There are also more bosses and most of them are fun. The story while still nothing to write home about, manages to be somewhat engaging. The only major con is that it felt like the game kinda dragged towards the end.
