This is a rough start for the series, alright. The game didn't age well at all. Honestly, I admire everyone who played this in 1987 without consulting a guide every now and then. The wayfinding and the general need to backtrack at random points make this really unbearable at times, and the checkpoints are way too far apart. It doesn't help that the controls are clunky and imprecise, and the AI behavior seems random at times, which is poison for a stealth game. A positive surprise was the MG boss fight, where the game expects you to take notes from a previous conversation. Also, I can't decide if the soundtrack is iconic or just annoying, haha. It can only get better from here, so onwards to MG 2!
