SEASON RANK: 3rd
Finally in the top 3. This was more than a season, this was an EVENT. Kevin the Cube just spawns in from the sky at the end of a bolt of lightning in the middle of a competitive match right in front of one of the (if not) biggest streamer of all time and then that same mysterious cube travels around the map leaving runes behind and landing in loot lake turning it into a bouncy zone? Are you kidding? What a fantastic season. A relatively cohesive summer theme as well as fantastical map changes makes this the second greatest start to a Fortnite season in the entire history of the game. A great battle pass with what is to this day the greatest tier 1 and 100 skin combo ever. I wasn't happy with the removal of the double pump and introduction of the spray meta that is still to this day a prevalent and ugly part of the game, but once again, epic COULD NOT MISS with adding guns and items to the game (except for the P90). Huge rift in the sky was cool and the brand new desert biome was awesome not to mention the chill ass tiki dudes everywhere. Epic was not playing with this season and it showed. I will say this was the season that Fortnite started to lean away from skilled players and towards 12 year old's that got a switch for their birthday but it wasn't too bad this season. And a golf cart? That was some crazy ass shit back then bruh on god.
