(played as part of ATARI 50)

A slightly novel spin on the type of arcade shooter where you're defending a base. In this one, you launch bombs into designated geometric zones surrounding your turret, and any enemies within the zone that you hit automatically get wiped out, so you can feel pretty powerful when you obliterate whole groups at once with some thoughtful aiming. The only way to make this more difficult, though, is to make the enemies faster and erratic in their movement, passing through multiple zones quickly, and eventually it just gets annoying and you're spraying bombs all over the place, hoping desperately catch some of the swarms of fly-like enemies buzzing around you. There's also a mechanic where if the enemies get close to your turret, you have to zoom in to do some more traditional shooter gameplay to get rid of them before they do damage, and that actually works fairly well, but I wouldn't say it's fun.

This game was cancelled and is only now getting a release, but I don't think it particularly deserved getting axed back then. It's not necessarily worse than most of the SPACE INVADERS knockoffs of the time. Not a classic, but no disaster either.
