Honestly this gets a .5 star bump for the ending. It was a really welcome surprise for Shulk to stick the landing and explicitly say "No one has the right to choose for everyone". A+ sentiment, exactly how a JRPG protag should spit in god's eye.
So other than that, XC is a very pleasant 6/10. It feels like a game that cared very much about being grand and epic, but ended up with a big pile of undercooked systems
But if they ever make a Final Definitive Edition that has party loadouts, 10/10 GOTY
