Fun game but did not need that many reminders to change your badge
My only complaint besides that weird but ultimately harmless abundance of dialogue is that the bosses are painfully underwhelming - even for a 2D mario game, where honestly the bosses never really mattered. This is at its worst with the final boss which is…kind of just really bad. Up until I beat the game I was enjoying it a ton, but it ended up souring it completely. In general, it’s shocking how little mileage the bosses got out of the game’s title gimmick.
Regardless the entire rest of the game leading up to it was extremely captivating. Wonder is a massive step in the right direction, and I absolutely recommend it. I know I sound critical but I did genuinely enjoy the journey of the game so much, it just kind of ended poorly.
