The idea of Smash Bros with anime characters is fantastic but there's a lot of factors holding this games back. The Japanese only language barrier, amount of time it takes to unlock most characters, being on the DS, and simplicity compared to other arena fighters do not help it. I say simplicity but that doesn't mean there's not a lot of effort put into it. You just don't have as many attack options available as in say Smash Bros or most other arena fighters.
