Visually one of the best remasters Nintendo has ever made. I'm surprised Metroid managed to transition into 3D so well on its first try. I hope 2 and 3 get similar remaster treatment before 4 comes out.

I wish there was a stronger story but what it did have got the job done. Despite nailing the transition into 3D I think there's still more that could've been done which I hope the sequels focus on.
