Deus Ex: GOTY is a classic for a reason, but man, it definitely shows its age. The story is mind-blowing, giving you real choices with surprising consequences, and the world feels incredibly immersive. But the graphics are super dated, the voice acting is laughably bad at times, and the clunky controls can be a real pain. If you can get past its rough edges, this is one of the most thought-provoking, influential games ever made.

i agree about the voice acting, and I can see how the visuals (although groundbreaking at the time) could be seen as outdated today, even though they still have a lot of charm. outdated controls though? that's a wild take. I challenge you to find any FPS from that era that isn't DOOM that plays this fluently, reliably and has this many options to play around with.

@djyunghoxha - You raise a great point! Deus Ex definitely offers more fluidity and customization than some of its contemporaries. The controls are undeniably complex for their time. I suppose "outdated" might be too strong a word, but perhaps "unconventional" is a better fit? It definitely has a learning curve. However, the movement still feels a bit rigid to me – especially vertical aiming.
