Mass Effect blew me away when it first came out. It's this massive space opera with aliens, cool planets, and epic choices that actually impact how the story unfolds. The combat is a bit clunky by today's standards, and the Mako driving sections are rough, but oh man, the world-building, the characters, and the feeling of being this legendary hero named Shepard just sucked me in. Absolutely worth revisiting if you love sci-fi RPGs.
