Paperboy (N64) attempts to revitalize the classic arcade formula with zany 3D graphics, wacky obstacles, and over-the-top humor, but it misses the mark. The controls feel clunky, the core gameplay of delivering papers grows repetitive quickly, and the compressed sound quality is grating. While there's a hint of nostalgic charm here, Paperboy's 3D debut ultimately feels like a missed delivery.
