Double Dragon on the Game Boy is an attempt to squeeze the action of the arcade classic onto the handheld, with mixed results. The game delivers familiar beat-'em-up gameplay with moves like punches, kicks, and throws. However, the Game Boy's limitations force compromises: sprites are small, animations are choppy, and the experience feels somewhat cramped compared to its bigger brother. While playable, it ultimately lacks the satisfying flow and intensity of the arcade original.
