I've been going through a really rough time, having this game as an escape and seeing my own situation in it helped to make me more confident in handling what's going on in my life and provided comfort. I feel the story wrapped up too soon, the cult at the end and the pit could have been fleshed out more and the disconnect between the hometown and cult story made it feel like two separate games. I don't think the story is bad nor was separating the game into two distinct stories, though you could have stuck to one or the other or maybe have found a way to better intertwine them; what the game did do to connect the stories was serviceable and I feel the game was far more interesting because of the two stories even if they did clash with one another.
