Part of the Halo Master Chief Collection
Game played using Xbox Game Pass

Console Played On: Xbox Series X

First off, let me just say that I played this game in classic mode and not remastered mode. So with that being said, this game has me very mixed, because I feel as though I would have enjoyed it more if I had it on a different difficulty. You see, this was my first Halo game, so you would think I would choose Normal difficulty, right? Well, that's what I was going to do, but as a last-second decision I chose Heroic difficulty instead. I did this because I've heard on the internet that Heroic is the "best way to experience Halo," however those people have also been playing Halo for 20 years. So yeah, I think the game itself is quite good. The story and characters are good, the levels are impressive for their time, and in terms of graphics, it holds up decently well today. But of course, the game was pretty difficult and downright frustrating in a lot of areas. I don't think I would have had as many issues if I had just played on Normal difficulty, but suffice it to say there's nothing to do about it now. So yeah, Halo: CE is a good game that I probably could have enjoyed more, but didn't because of the internet. Damn, it's always the internet huh.

7/10.
