My first Nier experience. Found the combat very solid and fun, but I suppose that's par for the course when Platinum helps out. Regarding the story, I found it interesting, but not mind blowing like many people; while the characters were great and memorable, I found the meat of the story overly preachy and too repetitive for the message to really stick. Speaking of repetitiveness, I really shouldn't have to replay the game 4 to 5 times to get the full story. While it was an intriguing idea at first, it lost its novelty quite quickly. BUT. The soundtrack. Is amazing(and better than the original). Overall, a unique and fun experience, but still a little rough around the edges. Now, what would a remake of Drakengard look like...
