While a lot of the gameplay aspects such as dungeons, platforming, etc. haven't aged well, the story is like a fine wine. Full of wild twists and turns, it's a delight to witness it. I hope one day Square releases it from the basement and gives it a proper remake (HD-2D please!) because the story is one of the best I've seen in a video game to date.
