I've become a fan of Madden 25 (aka Madden 14), the game that precedes Madden 15. The biggest downside to Madden 25 is the graphics. Madden 15 is a noticeable step forward visually, but is a step a couple steps backward almost everywhere else.

With default settings, the running game is among the worst I've played across various Maddens. Both the run blocking and collisions feel off. This is somewhat correctable with sliders, but it takes some work. In the passing game, it feels like receivers rarely go for a jump ball.

Franchise mode is decent but is also a step back from 25, losing the interesting prewritten draft storylines from the previous year in favor of classes of random prospects. The same list of Legends are available to play as solo again.

Once I got the sliders dialed in, I was able to enjoy the game, but it took a while.
