I love a good sports RPG, so this sounded great on paper, but I was disappointed when I actually played it. The game doesn't tell you much and can be difficult to learn without a guide. Some might prefer this age of gaming, but personally, I find the lack of intuitiveness to be a design flaw.

Overlooking that aspect, the gameplay is also not what I was expecting. The fishing mechanics are tedious and just not very fun. Having to go into menus to add bait to your line before each cast is a drag.

Not every developer can be Nintendo, but the graphics and world design feel second rate compared to other games on the console. To me, this is more of a bargain bin game than a hidden gem.
