Jak & Daxter was impressive at the time of its release, but it hasn't help up as well as I hoped.

The controls, while fluid, are a bit finicky, particularly the double jump. Long checkpoints make dying in some sections a real frustration. There's no map system, and it's easy to lose track of where to explore next and where you've already been. The animation and world design still impresses.

With all things considered, I think there is a good game under the flaws, and a remake could fix most of its issues.
