I don't care about sticking it to Game Freak, I'm just disappointed to all the people that let this thrive, all while leaving Yo-kai Watch out to rot in the West.

Not even the same genre. Fact of the matter is just that people are more interested in playing a survival craft with some monster catching than another monster catching RPG, that's all.

the first entry is slow and arguably the weakest one while this game takes elements people already liked from other games and makes a new game from it
