Great idea in theory but fell short in practice. The game would've been better if your teammates weren't as disposable as they actually are, instead of replacing them in each level maybe keeping them and building either trust or distrust over time could've generated some tension in between, and since all instances in which your squad-mates turn into monsters are scripted and can't be avoided this mechanic goes to waste completely.

Shows its age regarding the weird controller scheme they decided to implement; you get to choose one of 3 different controller set-ups but neither is adequate and button combination results uncomfortable.

Giving it a 7/10 because despite becoming nearly unplayable at the end due to a ridiculous difficulty spike in level 9A, frustrating me to the point of almost quitting indefinitely, I enjoyed it and liked that is not too long.

I may be biased as well because John Carpenter's The Thing is one of my favorite horror movies of all time and thought this was a worthy sequel in terms of story. I just wish this IP could get a decent treatment today in a game reminiscent of Alien Isolation, that would be potentially a masterpiece.
