Eh, relatable, dropped this game 2 times then on my 3rd one I went for Platinum... Honestly makes me wanna try games I never got into

yeah i tried to get into it on 3 different occasions and i just liked it less each time, im sure its worth playing through the entire thing but i just find the early segments so uninteresting i can't bother to try and get into it

Actually true, something I noticed is that the early game is kinda boring, I guess they made it easy and empty for the player to get used to the controls and physics, but it's so easy it never tests their skill, it slowly gets better and better over time, it's kinda like starring at the moon, if you stare at it for 1 minute you barely see a difference, if you leave and come back after an hour, it would be in a different spot, that's basically the progression of this game. I feel like the deciding factor is Mantis Lords and City of Tears, it's one of the better bosses in the game and City of Tears is one of the better areas, but that's like 8 hours of game, I wish the start was a little more exciting, maybe it is better for you to abandon it, idk
