it's literally just tetris but i wish they updated da game to give it a bit more polish or something, also kinda sucks dis is da only way to play on pc other than effect or puyo puyo
also da music is kinda grating ngl, music 3 is da original theme and it's ok but gosh those other two kinda hurt

A really high quality port of Tetris. plays great and even has some features lacking from other modern version of the game such as blocks changing in colour to let you know how much time you have before your tetrimo locks in place after making contact with the bottom of the stage.

I would occasionally open https://tetris.com/play-tetris/ to play this and at some point tried to outdo my highscores but by this point it's like there's an annoyance meter in my brain that fills after 2 or 3 minutes of playing that compels me to purposely lose out of boredom and quickly close the tab even if I'm not making mistakes.
TGM3 is an interesting case, because while it follows the formula from TGM1&2 in basically every way (now with a save feature!), you can now hold pieces. Thus, this is the start of "Modern Tetris" by some definitions without the crazy combo game incentivized by Tetris games released within the last 5 or so years. It's this strange formula that, while fun, is obviously perfected in later installments of modern Tetris. So while TGM2 remains the king of classic Tetris and one of the must play games of the classic style (along with NES Tetris), the same can't be said for TGM3 and modern style. Even then, the game is still fun and a very clean Tetris experience.

I never did get around to beating this but from what I did play it was amazing. Felt super move to control, was colorful, and loads of content. There always felt like shit that could be unlocked if you tried hard enough. I wish\hope we get another one like this but who knows, I'm pretty sure most of the OG team has left.
childhood masterpiece i think everyone should have played. I gotta tell you, it was perfect. perfect everything down to the last minute details.
