While i haven't quite finished this game yet, i don't think that's necessary for writing a review for a game like Sable.
To me Sable is the perfect open world game. Not only is it a gorgeous and interesting world, but it emphasizes exploring it at your own pace. You can, like any open world game, follow the quest lines that will one by one lead you the next area of interest, or blindly head off and fine those places for yourself, but unlike those other games, i never felt like i was going off track in a bad way for taking time off to just blindly explore.
Too many open world games ive played tie themselves down with a big "You are the Hero" plots that put an obligation on the player to fill that role. Sable on the other hand is purely about doing things at your own pace, and finding where you want to fit into this world, and making that choice is the conclusion.
The game is very fun to just open up and play for a few hours, regardless if im fulfilling more quests, or just enjoying the atmosphere, and has been a great laid back game to enjoy while im too sick to play more skill intensive games.
If you love artsy games with interesting worlds to explore, Sable is definitely for you!
