Donkey Kong Country 2 is Donkey Kong Country 1 but better and worse. Music is just as stellar, level design expands upon 1, boss battles are actually engaging, and the art style is arguably more creative, but that difficulty. DKC 1 had PERFECT difficulty, which is important in a 2D platformer, when you can't see what's coming next. This game is just a little too hard man, and I like Souls games. Stuff like the minecart levels and animal buddy levels just kind of take me out of the experience, where your reaction time can just barely keep up. Despite how much this game improves upon the first, I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy the first game more. Great game, but a little much.
