Puzzle games are the one genre where you should go in blind so I'm not going to be overtly descriptive about this. The gist is, it's a game where the puzzles are almost entirely built around deciphering unknown languages, understanding how their respective grammars work and what to consider when translating sentences from one of those languages to another. That's a huge soft spot for a once-upon-a-time-aspiring linguist like me and it genuinely works brilliantly as a gameplay mechanic and the challenges vary enough that the central point never gets old and you constantly find your accrued knowledge tested. Together with the striking visual style and great sound/music design, this is a really nice and unique puzzling experience. A small minus for the stealth sections which remind me of the mandatory action minigames throw into click and point adventure games back in the 90s as an attempt to reach a wider market (and which no one liked), but they're ultimately inconsequential to how much fun I otherwise had.
