You know, when I first played the game, coming from only the PC-98 Touhou games, I was amazed by the changes. A 3D world! More instruments on music! Spell cards?!
It was my goddamn jam, and I think I could understand how original gamers felt back in 2002 if they had my same experience.
...I will probably agree with some of the reviews though: this game, at this year, is really rough. Needs vsync and DX8 patches to be playable, and then the hitbox patch on top of them to be fairer.
And even then! It's quite a bland game visually speaking. I'm still not sure how the new cast got so popular as well.
