Previously logged this on the wrong version. Editing to make it clear that I played it on the PS3, not PS2.

We really got the best Sly Cooper game and the best Ratchet & Clank game (out of the PS2 entries) in the same year. Fans of PlayStation platformers were eating in 2004 (hell, gaming as a whole was eating in 2004).
