People glaze this game but to me it's kind of like an Uncharted 2 type game where at the time I'm sure it was great but since then it's been outdated by new standards in story and writing. The game relies too much on your prior knowledge of the characters from comics. In the spiderman games they do a good job at establishing the history with a villain you've seen before and also introducing new ones, but this game acts like there were two others before it that you've missed. I also think the existence of the Dark Knight makes this seem worse too. Character relationships and psychology of characters aren't really explored. When a character dies or makes a choice (pretty much referring to Catwoman going back for batman) there doesn't feel like there's any weight to it because they havent made me care. And the Joker is so underutilized in these games. I think he's supposed to feel like the all knowing master pulling the strings but he just sits up in a room the whole time, then you get to him and beat him up. They don't explore his character or relationship with batman. Furthermore, I feel like it's really out of character for him to be concerned with getting immortality. He's never been a character that concerned about his own life in that way. I also don't like how this game and the last all take place in one night. I just like spreading a story out to feel more important and let there been some breathing room. I hope that they make more batman games that are more modelled after the movies and the spiderman games. Going into the psychology of batman as well as spreading the story out to have a larger scope. Catwoman also didn't have to be in here. The only thing she did for the story was save batman from rubble then leave. They could've just written her out and have batman push the rubble off himself. She did nothing to further the story. The best part about this game is how chronically horny the NPCs are towards every woman character. They just like me fr
