Man, what a great game. The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe is a delightful experience for both newcomers to the now 'series' or fans of the original who just want more. Honestly, what surprised me the most about my playthrough was how I got pretty much almost everything in one run through without having to look anything up, with the exception of 2 endings (4 total, counting bucket variants)

That being said, I think people who wanna try this game out should know one very important thing: The Stanley Parable and the Ultra Deluxe tell 2 completely different stories. TSP'13 was all about choice in video games whereas the Ultra Deluxe was mostly a commentary about sequels and now that I think about it, I don't think that there's a single new ending in the UD that had the choice aspect at all (i could just be forgetting tho)

Now of course, like 95% of the original game is contained within the Ultra Deluxe, but even to a new player, I'm sure that its pretty obvious between what's part of TSP'13 and what's part of the Ultra Deluxe because of how different the style of jokes are

TSP'13 really broke the mold when it came to games and what you could do in them. Should you follow the narrator? Is the end ever the end? Will you keep that baby away from the fire?

Ultra Deluxe played its message a bit more straight. Should the og Stanley Parable be held in such a high regard? Should any game be? Are people just afraid of sequels now because it might tarnish the original? Was a sequel even worth it?

I definitely have mixed feelings on it all and I think the story of the original is far superior, but I'm glad the Ultra Deluxe exists. I was gonna say that the UD goes to show that you can't recreate the magic of the original, but I don't think that was ever their intention in the first place :))

Easy 5/5 stars either way
