I grew up playing the original when it got re-released on Wii Virtual Console when I was like 8 but never found the time to go back and actually finish it. Now that I've finally finished the game almost 15 years later, I'm so glad to say it's not just nostalgia talking when I say this game is fantastic! Possibly my favorite RPG Mario has ever starred in, and I'd love to see this style of RPG used in a future Mario game again!
