While I love the idea of a Wario metroidvania, a lot of this game feels like its designed to annoy you forcing you to constantly backtrack because you got hit by an enemy, essentially do no-damage-runs of bosses or forcing you to play that godawful golf minigame.
Thank God they abandoned the puzzle platform formula for the next game.

There are things I like about this game such as the fact that you're always told where to go if you're stuck via the temple in the first map, the feeling of progression when you unlock new abilities, the art is top-tier as far as GameBoy games go and the game is really fun when you're not having to go through cramped maze-like levels but I'm in no rush to replay this one or even go for 100%
