Bit of a quiet release, but it quickly gained word of mouth, and as part of EA's holy trinity released during this period, cemented their reputation as the king of 16-bit sports games. Oddly the Pal release omits the American league teams in favour of the international ones, and while this may irk a few actual fans of hockey, it doesn't detract any from the gameplay.
