Wow. What an absolutely phenomenal game. Was so nice to revisit the world of the previous game's world because I don't think I was ready to leave it behind. Being able to see old characters again like Eikichi and Lisa was a treat, but Tatsuya flying in like a badass every so often being the best character was the absolute highlight of it. I really loved the narrative involving going back to the Other Side, and Tatsuya being "the Paradox."

Compared to Innocent Sin, I think this game was a lot more cohesive and easier to follow, but in the end I think I prefer the previous game more. This one was good, but the other just had more charm to it-- i.e. it had Eikichi in it lmao.

I loved the story woven between the two games though holy shit. Nyarlathotep as the villain between them (and even Persona 1) makes me absolutely giddy with excitement. I love it when there are overarching villains and story arcs between games, and the Crawling Chaos takes the cake for one of the coolest villains in any game I've played. It was even nice to see Kandori again, who comes back along with some of the other Persona 1 cast.

Speaking of which, another wonderful treat was to have Nanjo back in my party again and having him face off against Kandori. The P1 references were super sweet, and it honestly made me emotional at the end when the whole gang was brought back together (including Noaya! Yay!)

In the end I adore the narrative sewn across these two games, including Persona 1, and I am super sad that I'm leaving them behind. Games don't make me emotional like this, but I really became attached to all of the characters and the world they built.
