Super Smash Bros Ultimate to me is more like a guideline for games that I think I’ll be interested in. I know many of the reviews and reasons people like it will explain how chaotic it is, the amount of content, and how Melee is still the king. I love Ultimate, the hype to getting that game released left me in such a chokehold where I’m getting the gamecube controller, the adaptor, the amiibos, the special edition Switch. It’s was insane how much J spent in the days before it came out but I’m always so surprised by how much it has lasted with me. All those memories of when I piss off my friends by always picking my mains, (Cloud, Toon Link, Joker, and Sora) or when my cousin easily kills me because he’s played for 900 hours. I also loved this one so much that my intended goal of completing every game represented in Smash started so I can get the most out of this game. This is unequivocally one of my favorite games of all time and I genuinely hope the next Smash is more tweaking and adding characters rather than changing up the core game again.
