I played this game over and over again on my shitty family PC when I was thirteen or so along with Curse of Monkey Island, both games instilled a love of Lucasarts style point and click adventure games that lasts to this day.
This remaster of Grim Fandango is done well, pesky camera angles still remain and the character models are still blocky looking calavera skeletons, but some subtle lighting effects have been added and the controls with the PS4 controller worked well for me.
The game still has some of the most brilliantly realised dialogue and absolutely brain destroying logic puzzles (consulting a walkthrough from time to time is not a shameful thing when playing this). The music is still amazing and has even been re-recorded by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra for this release!
Overall, if you want a brilliant, cinematic game to play and are not afraid of a real challenge, then give this a shot, just make sure that you have some patience with it.
