Sonic Forces is better than Sonic Mania, that is my genuine opinion, and before you slam this video with a dislike and leave an angry comment, allow me to explain.

Are you serious? ARE. YOU. SERIOUS. That is simply preposterous. How can Sonic """Forces""" or as I, an intellectual like to call it - Sonic Dogshit be better than a work of the high arts, above even my comprehension? Those high arts being of course the master craft we know today as "Sonic Mania". This is the worst review I have read in a very, very long time. I suggest you take it down immediately or else i'll be in contact with my associates and make you do it myself. STOP THE LIES!

@Poefred interesting, my genuine opinion on Mania has always been all over the place, it's a game that every time I think about it I can't put my finger on what exactly holds me back from liking it, I might do an actual serious review someday explaining my thoughts.

Personally my take is that it's a game designed largely for people who actively dislike most of the series. Like they did a great job making Sonic game reach mass widespread appeal, but in the process they had to gut a lot of the experience I value as someone who actually really likes most games in the series. Which is a long way of saying the level design is a lot more automated and safe than people are willing to admit. It's a frictionless experience which for most people, is an S tier game as far as Sonic is concerned. But I live for that friction especially in a series where replay value is so important.
