This review contains spoilers
Before I begin my review I want to say that I am much aware of the game's flaws, in fact this is where most of my stars go away. The state the game is in now is just not acceptable even by Gamefreak's standards and I hope Pokemon Z's longer development window changes that.
That being said... this might be the best Pokemon experience I have ever had.
I have been playing the games since X and have played every mainline one since (except Let's go). I have also played both Unova games and the original Diamond, as well as Pokemon Silver on virtual console.
The story was pretty good, with its characters in particular shining, I will not go in deeper since I am not great at reviewing that stuff without going in too deep...
It by far has the best dex in the series with and without DLC (including mons from other gens in the dex)
the game's difficulty kinda depends on how you go about things thanks to its open path however the intended path is fairly easy.
Teal Mask is pretty good and introduces some of my favourites such as Gliscor and Yanmega to the dex.
Indigo Disk was...... Superb. Archaludon and Hydrapple are immaculate Pokemon designs and more notably the challenge was greatly accepted. For the first time... ever... I actually had to plan out my team to counter each member of the Elite Four and it was still pretty tough.
Overall... Really good but brought down hard by performance, tough look I guess...
