I bet you think I'm joking when I say this is the 2nd best 3D platformer I've played this decade.

As though the great collect-a-thon boom never ended. Stacked with gorgeous, concise (quite the refreshing word to use when talking about modern games) levels that remain full to the brim every time. It's the Banjo dilemma (and the levels of this game do harken back to the best of those), the smaller you make an open area, the easier it is to stack it with interesting stuff. Combine this with the effortlessly smooth movement and the delightfully sweet design of everything, and I can basically forget how embarrassingly craven this whole 'history of PlayStation' conceit is. A tech demo in the same way that Half-Life Alyx is technically made to "showcase the power of VR!!"

Also, if you think I'm going to diss the gimmick-ass motion control stages then you may want to check what game I have listed as my favourite of all time. That dumb bullshit was made for me!
