I don’t have nostalgia for this game (I was way too young to even play it in the 2000s), but it’s undoubtedly one of the best FPS of its generation. You feel like a powerhouse even though you’re just loser scientist. It’s a nearly perfect game, what makes it lose a star is the second half of the game, once you hit Surface Tensions you question wtf was going through Gabe’s head to make him think it was a good idea to have a hard ass level lasting for hours then never stopping the difficulty in the lesser levels afterwards
