I didn't like this at first. I started it in January and dropped it because I found it dull and monotonous. Not sure what I was thinking, as 'Rise of the Tomb Raider' blows the 2013 reboot out of the water. Genuinely can barely fault it; it plays amazingly, the gameplay is consistently really smooth, from the navigation to combat, exploration is exciting and fun, the story is actually pretty solid with loveable characters like Jacob, and it has a nice variety of areas that all look gorgeous (The Lost City is elite).

Even if it's not always 100% engaging, I'd just chuck on my favourite podcast - The Bonus Points, go check them out, they're awesome! - and enjoy it that way. It's so good that I went from 38% to 100% plus the Baba Yaga and Croft Manor DLCs all in the span of the past three days! On that, I think both of those are pretty great additions, though I unfortunately didn't like Lara's Nightmare at all.

To top it all off, the ending is jaw-dropping and a perfect way to cap it. Sure, it can be generic and repetitive at times, and it's not necessarily anything ground-breaking, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't find this absolutely sick.
