I do not understand why people like this game so much. I did not find the gameplay fun. I did not find the dialogue meaningful. I felt the characters had all the depth of a piece of printer paper. The paths between major locations felt like barren expanses of nothingness with a few forgettable monsters in-between.

In my opinion, the excellent soundtrack and cool worldbuilding comes nowhere close to fixing any of that. I stopped playing the game when Metal Face referred to the protagonists as "the heroes" and then subsequently died. Maybe it got better past that. Maybe I'm missing something that would have made my experience great. Maybe the game just simply isn't my thing. To be honest, I don't know, and I don't really care to find out.
