Not the first time I've beaten this game, but the first time I beat it and then went and beat the optional boss.
The game itself is pretty fun! It's all boss fights, so there's no filler, and the fights are all unique and pretty fun. Some are more bullshit than others, but for the most part I always felt my victories were earned and my defeats were mine.
That is, until I reached the optional boss, and ohhhh boyyy did my opinion on this game flip. This game was going to be an easy 3-star rating but nooooooo the optional boss just had to be the most annoying motherfucker on the planet while showing off the worst parts of Furi's movement system. Furi's dodge button is something I never want to experience in any other video game ever again after that boss fight. Fuck that. You lose points for that fight alone. I'm not even going to beat this game on Furier out of spite, knowing full well how much better this game gets on a higher difficulty.
