I had never played a hard mode difficulty mod for Pokemon and I did not expect to be one of the funnest experiences I've had with the series. I played in Challenge mode, which further increase the difficulty by adding a few extra battles and reworking the teams to key opponents to be even more difficult.

Gyms will surprise you with double and even triple battles more often using advanced tactics that as someone who is not into competitive Pokemon, surprised me with how these moves, abilities and held items could combo together so well.

And while everything was harder as promised, it also never felt unfair. Pokeballs were made much cheaper and Audino's were plentiful to level up for your team whenever you needed it. This game sets you up to win and rewards you with a highly satisfying experience.

If you love Pokemon, but have never been challenged by it, I highly recommend you try this mod.
