For personal reference more than anything else.

Played this a couple of times today after playing it countless times over the years.

It has its problems, it looks kind of bad, the AI can break quite easily, you can hear voice lines that are clearly recorded to be quite far away when you are right next to the character saying them, the characters don't really respond to what you say properly some times and the amount you can type in a line is a bit short. But I don't really mind much of this, it may be me being kind of easy to impress but this game is genuinely one of the coolest ones I've played, especially considering how old it is and what its trying to do. I love the concept and I wish that there were more things like it as I'm sure that with how advanced technology has gotten that something like this releasing nowadays would feel so much more natural and have far more depth to it. I've seen things like Cleverbot and Evie but they freak me out a bit and I just kind of prefer something that feels more scripted and more videogamey (as dumb as that may sound) like this.

This time around I got the 'Trip leaves' ending and the 'they stay together but it seems like things could get better ending'. The plot is nice and basic and there's enough things that can happen that sort of makes each playthrough feel at least a little different (except for the Italy picture, I swear that comes up every time if you don't get kicked out early on). When it comes to the actual dispute between Trip and Grace, maybe its just that I keep ending up with runs that paints Trip in a worse light but I feel like this game should be a lot more even when it comes to how each character is being shitty to the other. Maybe its just my personal bias and that I know people with similar traits to Trip but I just think he's a lot more unlikeable then Grace is and it makes me think that the two really shouldn't be together. As characters they're kind of interesting and its entertaining to interact with them (or let them fight between themselves).

At the end of the day, this is a game I've always really liked and love to come back to every couple of months or so and given how experimental it feels it seems wrong to be hard on it even with its issues. Such a cool game.
