I would call The Complex an interactive B-movie.

The technical aspects of filming is done well and the setting is good and well set up for success, but the acting is pretty cringe at times and the emotion that the actors should express doesn't always fully come through the screen. The main character was also not very believable as a doctor/scientist and neither as someone who has worked on a battlefield. It felt like she was a deer caught in headlights at most times and her personality was quite weak.

The actor who plays Rees gave a somewhat better performance, he was a more interesting character and was also great comical relief. Claire, the tough-talking "Kindaran" was also a very interesting character and she was probably my favorite. It would have been a stronger effort had the entire story been told from the perspective of Claire.

Honestly speaking, I think this was a decent FMV game and an attempt was made for an interesting story, BUT I don't think I will recommend this game, since there are other way better FMV games out there. Still, if you do decide to play the game, definitely don't get it at full price.
