Un-doubtablty the best visual novel ever made hands down. On the surface this game may look a bit pandering, a tad outdated, and overly-opporessive in it's mood and themes, but I would be lying if I argued that it is any less than top 10 visual novels ever made. The main argument that can be made is that this should just be a book, and honestly, I think the visuals are paramount with the music in delivering as well as this game does.

This game makes me very emotional, and for very good reason.
A classic for me.

I think people saying it should be a book just search for a reason to hate it cuz they lack real criticism, I genuinely don't get it, visual novel is superior to book in every way you can think of, music is so important, I literally cannot think of a single reason why it having music and visuals is a bad thing

@Yoav Definitely agree, anyone who argues this would be better as a book is really missing the point of what VISUAL novels deliver for people. Not only making it debatably MORE accessible than a book could be, but there are elements in visual novels (and especially in THiFM) like music and visual design that really help it nail that story down.
