Gameplay is competent but not nearly as good as the past Halo games. 343 completely wasted the story built up in “Hunt The Truth” podcast. What we got was a mess of a story with barely any Master Chief in the game. The prometheans still aren’t an engaging villain. The Spartans feel like Marvel superheroes with all the extra abilities they have now. This game just feels generic and has no good characters and a forgettable story.
