The main game is great and improves on the first game a lot but the unorthodox post-game kinda messes with the flow of it when the RNG cave difficulty can range from "challenging but fun" to "do you know what suffering is?"

Sucks because there's (some) good ideas for some of the subfloors, but the randomization of the caves basically leaves everything up to God on if the execution will be good or will you just cheese your way out the floor so you don't end up losing 75% of your squad because of bad enemy or hazard placement. I just hope Pikmin 4 doesn't have this bad of a problem with how it handles caves/dungeons.

honestly i liked caves in 4 less, they werent randomized but they were way too easy imo (i like 2 caves btw)

@NOWITSREYNTIME17 That's fair, I think the main game's caves are great for 2 but I think the way they designed the post-game around them just makes for a really inconsistent experience for me. I think its hard to have a floor that's difficult but not to where you're severely disadvantaged when its so randomized, I feel like I've had smoother times in rogue-lites
yeah the post-game caves can have major BS tho at the same time i love that cuz non of the other games ever gets that hard lol but i digress..glad you liked it
