Chicken run is a fun kid's stealth game. The Idea is the same as the movie, the chickens have a plan to escape from the farm, before they end up into pies. The Graphics are not good but not terrible, a lot of kids PS1 games are like this, but are good enough for PS1. The gameplay has you sneak around, and finding items, to help you out, sneaking past the farmers and their dog, using other items to help you out, and solve puzzles to get some, this is a clever idea for chicken run and probably the most fun and creative idea you could do for this game. You have a radar which works well to tell you what's around you, and the fact that unlike other stealth games where you can do something that put's guards on alert, here they will be on to you immediately, unless you distract them into going to another place, good way to increase tensity, and the way they escape the farm is great, and even the steps they create to get there feels like an actual way a chicken could escape from a farm, if they had human intelligence of course. The music is very tense for the sinister scenes and work well for the less sinister but have a threat somewhere not too far away ones and can get very catchy during fast scenes. The sounds are good, and the not great sounds adds to the tense tone that the game can get. There are some minigames too, and they can be fun, if a bit easy for adults, but good for kids. Chicken run has excelled itself with a better than it should have been game, that shows how even PS1 kid's games can have great ways to get past its limitations.
